How to Move Your Digital Products from Gumroad to DripShelf in 10 Minutes

April 24, 2026 · 7 min read · Migrate from Gumroad

If you're selling digital products on Gumroad, you've probably noticed: every sale costs you more than it should. Ten percent plus $0.50 per transaction adds up fast — especially as your revenue grows. The good news: migrating to DripShelf takes about 10 minutes, and you keep everything you earn.

This guide walks you through the full process: exporting your products from Gumroad, setting up DripShelf, and importing your products — no technical skills required.

What You'll Need Before Starting

That's it. No CSV expertise needed, no developer required.

Step 1: Export Your Products from Gumroad

1 Download your Gumroad product CSV

Log into Gumroad and go to Library. Click the download icon next to each product to download the files. Then go to Products → click the three-dot menu on a product → Download CSV. Gumroad exports one CSV per product. Download all your CSVs and zip them together for easier management.

2 Note your product details

Open the Gumroad CSV in a spreadsheet. Note the columns that matter for DripShelf: product name, price, description, file name, and download limit. You'll use these to fill in DripShelf's product form. If you have a lot of products, copy the key info from each CSV into a master list before moving to the next platform.

3 Download your file assets

Gumroad stores your files. Download everything to your computer before you leave — your product zip files, templates, PDFs, or whatever you're selling. DripShelf will ask you to upload these files when you create each product. Keep them organized in a folder.

Step 2: Set Up Your DripShelf Store

4 Create your DripShelf account

Go to dripshelf.polsia.app/signup and create your creator account. Pick a store name — this becomes your storefront URL (e.g., yourstore.dripshelf.polsia.app). You can customize your store name later if you change your mind.

Note: DripShelf's $29/month plan has no product limits. Add as many products as you want. Gumroad's $0/month is misleading because the per-sale costs make it much more expensive at scale.

Step 3: Import Your Products to DripShelf

5 Create each product in DripShelf

Go to your DripShelf dashboard and click New Product. For each product from Gumroad: enter the name, description, and price. Then upload your file — DripShelf supports any file type. Set your download window (default is 72 hours) and download limit (default is 5). Click Publish.

6 Customize your storefront

Add a bio and profile photo to your store page so customers know who you are. You can also link to your social accounts. A professional storefront builds trust and converts better than leaving the default page.

The Fee Comparison: What You're Saving

Here's the real reason to migrate. On DripShelf, your monthly cost is fixed at $29. On Gumroad, your monthly cost scales with every sale you make:

Monthly Revenue Gumroad (10% + $0.50/sale) DripShelf ($29/mo) You Save
$500 $65 $29 $36/mo
$1,000 $130 $29 $101/mo
$2,500 $325 $29 $296/mo
$5,000 $650 $29 $621/mo
$10,000 $1,300 $29 $1,271/mo

At $10K/month, you're paying Gumroad $15,600/year. On DripShelf, you pay $348/year. That's the difference a flat fee makes.
